First prototype


This is the first prototyping of the game for Brackey's game jam 2023. With the theme being "Dive Deeper" I thought it would be cool to do a spin on the concept by diving into the core of a gas giant rather than a typical mining or ocean exploration game. I've got most of the basic controls down, and I'd really like to implement something for the S key where you toggle "stationary" mode where the craft doesn't move up or down but can strafe left and right. But I'm saving that for the end so I can focus on getting some core game elements incorporated before the jam ends. Only 4 days left!

One thing I did notice when uploading to itch.io is that the strafing mechanisms are very jagged in the WebGL format, I didn't experience an issue with this on the exe I tested or in the unity editor. If anyone has any ideas as to why, please let me know! Also feel free to provide feedback on things that would be fun to see in the game.
